Created a couple of years ago, 9GAG connected people all around the world by being a medium to share the best laughs which everyone can relate. With a variety of topics revolving around life, love, rage, childhood, school, creative ideas, and a whole lot more, 9GAG became home for everyone. This 2011, 9GAG's ratings and traffic boosted up with increasing popularity. There are already thousands of posts and new users everyday from all over the globe. And they never stop coming.
Because of sharing about almost everything, 9gaggers (people who use 9GAG) kind of virtually created a common hatred to some things. Here is a not-in-order list of 7 things a lot of 9gaggers truly hate. So if you are planning to post to 9GAG about admiring anything on this list, better get ready for dislikes.
7. Comic sans
Yes. Even fonts can be hated. Sorry Mr. Vincent Connare, times have changed. As professional designers would say, comic sans is ugly, unprofessional, overused, and very amateur-ish. There was even a site made with a goal to banning comic sans. Remember, never ever try to post on 9GAG with a comic sans font unless you want to piss off other people.
6. Reposts
Just like telling the same joke to the same people at a same tone and facial expression, posting a post that has been posted in the past is a big no-no in 9GAG. You will be caught in the act of posting a repost if you don't remove the watermark 9GAG automatically places on the picture. So don't ever post again something you already saw on 9GAG. Capiche?
5. Duck Face
I guess in some regions of the world duck faces are sexy. But in 9GAG?Nope. The duck face can be done when you push your lips outward like kissing, but open your eyes for a duckier face. If you want to be an instant celebrity on 9GAG, do the lip bite instead. Bite one side of your lip and be sexy.
4. Friday
Not the day! Everyone loves the day. It's the song. The most infamous song of the year. It was already hated to the max when it was uploaded on YouTube but they still pick on it on 9GAG. It was mainly disliked because of its vague lyrics.

Vampires don't sparkle. This is the main reason the 9GAG community hates Edward. He is ruining the race that Dracula had established because he sparkles under the sun. Other reasons why they hate him include his stupid hair, and because he is Edward Cullen. Done.
1. Justin Bieber
I hope all of you agree that this is the number one even though this list is not in order. Why do 9gaggers hate Justin Bieber? Actually, the whole world hates him. It's because of his established image on the screen and on stage. He's just a fad. His music is not good also. It's like the depression of the music industry. But that is not what 9gaggers hate so much about him. They just think he's gay.
Conclusion
No offense to avid fans! I wrote this down not because I have eternal hate to the things listed here. I have no grudge against them either. I just wanted to share what I noticed the whole time I was browsing 9GAG. And I know 9gaggers don't take it personally too. We all just want to make fun of it.
9GAG is just for fun. It's fun when you laugh at other people's misery. It's more fun when you laugh at it with the whole world. For me, 9GAG is very educational. I learn what people do in their countries, and I realize that what happens to me also happens to them. We have a lot of things in common. What I'm being mad of, a lot are also mad of. What I like, they also like it too. It's just so awesome when you have company.

How about people who take content from other sites, remove the watermark, upload on 9gag, then profit? People who do that deserve to die a fiery death.
I agree with you kevin, a lot of people do that, posting it on other humor sites.
Jason, you misunderstand Kevin. He means that people take content from OTHER sites (not 9gag) remove watermark/copyright and then put it on 9gag. The Cyanide and Happiness comic in your article demonstrates this. That SHOULD have been a link to the original or have mention of the source.

9gag is crap. Really. They make memes disgusting, I feel really ashamed when someone says something like... "Look! I am Derp! You know, the guy from 9gag comics!" They also have a weird system of popularity, which makes crappy an unoriginal posts reach the front page. Don't get me wrong, it used to be good, but now is flooded with 'cute' and sad posts... (a.k.a. like it please, i need this message to be delivered to my old friend, he loves 9gag!)

My god, I cannot say how much I hate 9Gag and it's community of Latin 13-16 year old cunts easily impressed by non-humor. The hate towards Justin Beiber is plain stupid and I can totally understand when people refer to it as the cancer of the internet. You niggerfaggots gotta grow some life.

9gag is at the very ass end of shitty sites that steal content from others that steal content from others that steal content from others that steal original content from 4chan.
9gag is still a great place to have fun and enjoy free time. I know it is for me, and i just ignore annoying post (Duckface, Repost, etc.) I'm probably a 9Gagger favorite. 9Gaggers love the oldies, (Beatles, ACDC, Freddie Mercury, John Lennon, Hendrix, etc.) All of these bands, musicians, and others I listen to on a daily bases. And I know I can't be the only one. I make my own content, and never use anyones else. Only one time I have, and I made sure to leave the website on it, giving full credit. So, I really enjoy 9Gag, and I know lots of other people do. Don't hate 9Gag.. It's still the fun club you can go and have fun..

Implying 9gag isn't taking oc from sites like 4chan, slapping a watermark on it, and calling it original. I've gone on 9gag two or three times, trying to give it multiple chances, but about 90% of what was posted I had seen on /b/ before. And the 10% that was actually original was compiled of shitty forced memes. And apparently 9gag thinks its the home of anonymous? Bullshit.

It is not about telling someone that he is gay, it is about making fun of two kind of persons by the same time. It is made to make fun of people insulting things by using the word gay,(because they are a bit homophobic), AND to make fun of the ones that are concerned by the meme. But don 't make the whole 9gag community look like a homophobic land. Not to unbderstand this meme ;is to become the one homophobic that is mocked.

I must say that some of the stuff is rather annoying, but at the same time it is a great way to make time pass you by. I Love designing posts and comedic material to post but I don't think anyone appreciates it really. Why is there an upload limit of 1 post per day? hmm
